Soup and Study: Poetry and Faith

This is not easy: finding your way through the dark.
These are turbulent times. Poetry is what you need to read when your house is burning. Poetry provides the words and the guidance we need when life is hard – and life is really hard right now. We are going to cover topics such as taking care of aging parents, identity, belief, death, and our relationship with nature. We will turn to the Psalmists and their vulnerable confession, that this is not easy!

On the last Wednesday night, come ready to read your favorite poem or your own work.

Poetry is the music of the soul, and, above all, of great and feeling souls. ~Voltaire

Join us on Wednesdays, October 15-November 12, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Education Building, Fellowship Hall for Poetry and Faith. You are welcome to join all of the sessions of come when you can. Don't worry about dinner, we'll have it waiting for you!
